for those members who have not yet renewed this year’s membership.

Since the publication of the Waymark our AGM has been held.  At this meeting we elected our first Vice Presidents.  Graham New and Brian Jordan who were founding members of our Society and who both continue to work in our interests.  Rowan Brockhurst has written as follows.

"We are delighted to welcome Graham New and Brian Jordan as our new (and first) Vice Presidents, following unanimous approval of the Committee's recommendation at our recent Annual General Meeting.  Members will know that Graham and Brian were respectively the Society's first Honorary Secretary and Honorary Treasurer and both remain members of the Society.  They were both present at the AGM and expressed their thanks after their election."

Over the year it has become clear that we needed to increase our income.  You will all appreciate that all costs have gone up and are likely to continue to rise.  Everyone is feeling the pinch so we have kept the increase to a minimum.  Information on how to pay your subscription which has been increased by 50pence per person is on this page.  A decision was also taken to increase the cost of our Monday Evening Meetings to £2.  This should mean that the meeting costs break even and you will still get your free cup of coffee or tea and biscuits.
