I have recently heard of 2 interesting developments in The Avon Valley.  RAAVI - the River Avon Avon Valley Initiative - has received funding and Ringwood, Fordingbridge, Burgate and Blashford areas are likely to be involved.  The planned changes at Blashford Lakes are nearly complete.  There is a new permissive path running north - south within the grounds and it is hoped that at sometime in the future this will become permissive.  There will be an official opening in the near future.  Look out for the date in the local press.  There will be an opportunity to look around and to go on a guided walk. 

My thanks to those of you who helped with the Parish Path Poll. Unfortunately it was a rather damp day and England was playing World Cup football.  This couldn’t have been predicted and undoubtedly affected the number of people using the paths.  Despite this we got some interesting information and in due course it will be published on our Town Council websites.  The re-launch of the Ringwood Healthy Walks took place in August and shortly there will be a similar re-launch in Fordingbridge.  In the coming months look out for details of the governments intentions re "The Right to Roam" on the coast.             Ruth Croker - Chairman
