Sunday 14th March, 2010 Photos submitted by DM Walk of 10 miles led by David & Lindsay. The walk to Lymington via the coast started at New Lane at the Hurst Castle end and returned partly inland and partly along the shore.

30th March 2010 Our team of David Rawden (captain),Melanie Tregenza-Dancer and Hazel Winch won the Greyfriars Quiz and have retained the Ringwood Challenge cup for another year. |

Friday 14th May 2010 The Viking Longhouse at Cranborne Ancient Technology Centre was officially opened on 14th May. Our Society gave raffle money to the project and also made a collection when we visited at the very start of the project. As a result a runic carving has been made for us on one of the wooden beams.

Saturday 12th June 2010 The Society was honoured to be asked to organise and lead a walk in the northern part of the New Forest for the Hampshire High Sheriff and his friends. Alan Lovell is in the centre of the photo. He is aiming to walk in various parts of the county during his year in office which started in April. The walk was led by Pat Whiteing with our President, Rowan Brockhurst, acting as back marker and purveyor of background information. |

The lunch was extremely well attended and was held in Robin's garden which looked immaculately groomed, very lush and full of colour as the above photos demonstrate. |

On 29th June members of the Ringwood and Fordingbridge Footpath Society Joined The Open Spaces Society and National Trust in celebrating the completion of the refurbishment of Lord Eversley's seat on Hightown Common near Ringwood. The proceeds of 2 of our raffles went towards restoring the inscription. |

This was an 8 mile walk from Corfe Castle to Swanage which was led as usual by Ruth. The day started out cloudy and dull but the sun soon appeared as can be seen from the photo of some of the group on Swanage beach. We all returned to Corfe on the steam train after a most enjoyable walk. |

More than 50 members joined the annual walk to the Society's adopted Trig Point on Whitefield Plantation.It was led this year by Pat and started from Moyles Court Sand Pit car Park. As can be seen from the above photos, Ruth unveiled a new brass plaque that has just been added to the Trig Point. |
