The Walks & events Programme

Guests are welcome.  Walk with us for three walks - free of charge - and then join as a member so that you are covered by the society’s insurance. See our membership application.

 

Dogs are welcome but must be kept under control. In some areas walk leaders may ask that they are kept on a lead. Check when you book.

 

We have year-round guided walks - mid week and weekend - from short at about 4 miles - to long up to 10 miles.

 

Some of these are on local paths but can also cover routes from as far as Cerne Abbas, the Isle of Wight and the Test Way

 

Summer walks (from May to the end of August) - daytime (often starting at 10.00 a.m.) and evening (usually 6.30 p.m).  Times can vary as decided by the walk leader..

 

Winter walks (from September to April) are daytime only with no evenings All walkers do so at their own risk, you are responsible for your own health and safety

 

Parking is sometimes limited - share cars if you can.

 

Leave nothing visible and no valuable items in parked cars.

 

Bring your own picnic lunch, drinks etc especially for the longer walks
